Dr. Nafez Breik
Dr. Nafez Breik works as a substantive Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon within the Medical Retina service at Stepping Hill Hospital. He also leads the Medical Retina services for delivery of innovative care models to follow up stable medical retina patients, in order to create capacity in the busy specialist outpatient clinics.
His clinical practice comprises of medical and surgical management of medical retina patients. In addition, he has created and implemented medical retina clinical guildlines including virtual diagnostic clinics, policies and SOPs which outlines treatment guidelines, clinicians’ scope of practice and patient pathway in clinic, this has facilitated a smooth running of services.
He runs a busy clinical practice, including AMD, CRVO, BRVO, Diabetic eye disease and CSR as well as seeing a number of complex referral cases from other retina specialists. Furthermore, he undertakes an operating list on complex cataracts with co-existing retinal pathology.
